FASU Games

The vision of forming a Federation of Africa University Sports (FASU) can be traced as far back as 1951 when two West African Universities namely University of Ghana and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in a quest to foster brotherhood and positive competition, started a bilateral annual sporting competition.

FASU quickly soared to greatness with its first elected president being Professor George Benne from the University of Ghana and Mr. E.T Kodzi from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana, as Secretary General.

The Federation of African University Sports (FASU) Games which was first held in Ghana continuously from 1974-75 and has become an emblem to which many athletes and sports lovers will go at length to play part in. FASU Games are organized every 2 years.
